This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, United States.
Using this website or the application means accepting these terms in the version published on the day of your purchase.
Synchromatic is an application for macOS that reads video and audio files you already have, works out which ones were recorded at the same moment by correlating their sound, and produces a timeline you can import into an editing program as FCPXML or FCP7 XML.
It never modifies your source files. It writes an XML file and, if you ask for one, a preview it renders itself.
The application can be downloaded and used without paying. In that state the measured offsets are hidden and XML export is disabled. Everything else works.
Buying gives you a licence key. That key unlocks the version you bought and every later release sharing its major version number, on as many Macs as you personally own or use, for as long as you like. There is no subscription and no expiry.
The key contains the email address you bought with. It is checked by the application itself, offline, against a signature. Nothing is sent anywhere when you enter it.
The key is personal. Publishing it, selling it, or sharing it outside the machines you use ends the licence.
The price shown on this website includes any applicable tax and is the price you pay.
Payment goes through Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. We never see or hold your card details. Your receipt comes from Stripe and carries the reference you will need if you ever have to recover your key.
Delivery is immediate: the key appears on the confirmation page as soon as the payment is accepted, and can be emailed back to the purchase address at any time.
Because the application is digital content delivered immediately, by completing the purchase you expressly ask for delivery to begin at once and you acknowledge that you thereby lose the fourteen day right of withdrawal set out in article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.
This does not touch the legal guarantees below. If the application does not work on a Mac that meets the stated requirements and we cannot fix it, you get your money back. Write to hello@monsieurpickles.dev.
You may install and use the application on the Macs you use, examine what it does, and keep using the version you bought indefinitely.
You may not resell, rent out or redistribute the application or your key, remove or hide the legal notices it displays, or try to defeat the licence check. Interoperability work permitted by article L122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code is expressly reserved and not restricted here.
Synchromatic embeds Qt, through PySide6, and ffmpeg. Both are used under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Their notices and the full text of their licences are inside the application, under Help then Legal notices.
As that licence requires, the sources of those components, and the object code needed to relink the application against your own build of them, are available on request at hello@monsieurpickles.dev.
You keep the full benefit of the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code). Nothing here reduces them.
Beyond that, the application is supplied as it is. Automatic synchronisation is a measurement, not a certainty: it reports a confidence for every match precisely so that you can check it. Look at the timeline before you deliver an edit.
We are not liable for indirect damage, for lost time or lost work, or for anything a third party program does with the XML we produce. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the price you paid.
Corrections for the version you bought are published on this website and the application tells you when one is out. They are free.
A future release changing the major version number may be a paid upgrade. The version you bought keeps working, unchanged, whatever we do next.
You can stop using the application at any time. Your licence ends if you redistribute your key or defeat the licence check, and in that case no refund is due.
These terms are governed by French law.
If something goes wrong, write to hello@monsieurpickles.dev first: nearly everything is settled that way. Failing that, you may use the European online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr or refer the matter to a consumer mediator. As a last resort, the competent courts are those provided for by law.
These terms may change. The version that binds a purchase is the one published on the day of that purchase, and past versions are kept and sent on request.
