Synchromatic

Privacy

The short version: your footage never leaves your Mac, there is no account, and the application works with the network switched off.

Last updated 30 August 2026

The principle

Synchromatic reads your files where they are and does its work on your machine. No video, no audio, no file name, no project and no result is ever uploaded anywhere. Turn the network off and everything still works, including the licence check.
There is no account to create, and nothing to log into.

What the application sends, and it is one thing

Once at startup, the application asks this website for a small file saying which version is current, so that it can tell you when a correction is out.
That request carries the address of the file and nothing else: no licence, no email address, no identifier, no information about your files. Like any request to any website it reveals your IP address and the version of the application, which is what a download reveals too.
You can switch this check off under Help, and then nothing at all leaves the application.

What buying involves

Payment goes through Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd, which handles the transaction and keeps what it needs for accounting and fraud prevention under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
What we do get from Stripe, and only when we look it up, is the email address you paid with and the reference of the payment. They are used for two things: to build your key, and to send it back to you if you lose it. Emails are sent through Resend, Inc.
This website is served by Vercel Inc., which keeps ordinary server logs for a short period.

Your key

Your email address is written inside the licence key and signed. That is what makes the key checkable offline, with no server and no database of buyers.
Because the key is derived from the payment rather than stored, we hold no list of customers of our own. Asking for your key again re-derives the same key from Stripe.

No measurement of you

No analytics, no advertising, no tracker, no cookie on this website, and nothing of the kind inside the application. We do not know how many projects you make, how long you spend, or what you edit.

Retention

We keep no database. What exists is held by Stripe as long as accounting law requires, by Resend for the short delay of sending an email, and by Vercel in its server logs.

Your rights

You may ask for access to, correction of, a copy of, or erasure of what concerns you, and object to its processing. Write to hello@monsieurpickles.dev and you will have an answer within one month.
If the answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, or to the supervisory authority of the country you live in.
